- Disney has announced a change to the narrator line-up for the 2018 Candlelight Processional. ‘Nsync’s Joey Fatone will be replacing Edward James Olmos on December 24 and 25.
- Guests visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom can purchase a limited-time Tasting Sampler. For a $30 purchase, Guests will receive a $35 digital gift card via email. The card will contain a bar code that can be added to a digital wallet and scanned at over 40 outdoor carts and kiosks throughout the park. This Tasting Sampler allows Guests the ability to enjoy a variety of savory and sweet plates as well as specialty alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. As an added bonus, each gift card includes preferred seating for the second performance of Rivers of Light on the night of the Guest’s visit (one per gift card). It can be redeemed from December 22, 2018 to January 2, 2019. The card cannot be used at quick service or table service restaurants.
- The magic of the Kingdom Hearts video game worlds are being brought to Disney Springs, for a limited time. Disney Springs Guests will be among the first to play a demo of Kingdom Hearts III and, for those who visit before January 29, among the few that get to experience the game before its release. This Kingdom Hearts pop-up experience also features a special Keyblade exhibit, featuring life-size replicas directly from Kingdom Hearts III, larger than life art inspired by characters and worlds from the game, and digital kiosks where attendees can pre-order the game and merchandise ahead of its release. The Disney Springs Kingdom Hearts location will be open from December 14 through January 31 in Town Center.
