Bonjour et bienvenue!
Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie has always been somewhat of a hidden gem in the France Pavilion at EPCOT. Tucked back into the corner, it houses an array of delicious French pastries, and baked goods. This is one of my favorite spots on property; for it has always been a tradition of my mom and I to try a different treat each time we visit!
It recently underwent renovation a few years ago, providing more room for patrons and more options on the menu. With it’s incredible and artistic cafe aesthetic, it is a traditional French bakery, providing both sweet and savory options!
Savory
Keep in mind that everything is on the menu written in French, but don’t worry! Translations are right below the names of the items! Savory options include entrees for meals with the options of sides if you are looking for a smaller snack. The entrees and sides are traditional French items. For instance, Brie aux Pommes, or brie, apples, and cranberries in multi-grain bread, is offered as an entree. Other options are poulet au pistou, which is chicken breast with cheese, tomato, red onion, and pesto, and vichyssoise, which is potato and leek soup in a bread bowl. A croque monsier, or toasted ham and cheese sandwich, is offered as a side. I you’re not feeling a sandwich or soup, smaller sides, such as formages (an imported cheese plate) and baguettes are offered.
Sweet
And now, to my favorite part! Desserts and pastries! Je suis amoureux! Believe me, it is extremely hard to choose what you want when everything looks so incredibly delicious and beautiful! The traditional French bakery, for sure, provides some of the most beautiful, mouth watering sweets.
In the desserts category, patrons have options such as, napoleons, eclairs, creme brûlée, and the infamous macaroons (these are my favorite-my mouth is watering just thinking about them!) Pastries include pain au chocolat, fraises, which is vanilla cream topped with strawberry, and citron, which is lemon cream topped with meringue. If you are with a group of people, I suggest purchasing an array of desserts so you all can try multiple sweets! Or purchase them all yourself! No judgement here at all, because I’ve done that myself!
Non-Alcoholic Beverages
Cafe assortments are offered with coffee, cappuccinos, espresso, lattes, and hot chocolate. Your assorted fountain beverages, juice, milk, and strawberry smoothies are offered as well.
Alcoholic Drinks
Feeling like wining and dining? The bakery offers a beautiful selection of alcoholic drinks. While they don’t have a huge wine list, they provide something for everyone with champagne, mimosas, chardonnay, pinot noir, cabernet sauvignon blanc, and Kronenbourg 1664 beer.
Specific Dietary Options
If you have specific dietary needs, be sure and ask a Cast Member at the Boulangerie Patisserie about the different options that are available. They will gladly help you out and direct you towards other options for you. For instance, you could ask for a beautiful and colorful six pack of macaroons, which are gluten free and absolutely delicious!
