One of the announcements that that came out at the D23 Expo back in 2017 that has kind of flown under the radar has been the space themed restaurant. The table service restaurant is slated to be located in Epcot in between Mission: SPACE and Test Track. I’ve been keeping track of the progress of the restaurant and it’s official – the restaurant will open later this year!
As you can see from the concept art, Guests will feel as though they are on some sort of space station. It will feel as though you are floating in the middle of outer space.
The unnamed space-themed restaurant will allow for Guests to experience a truly out of this world meal. The dining establishment will be operated by the Patina Restaurant Group. This group currently operates Morimoto Asia, The Edison, Maria & Enzos, and Via Napoli at Walt Disney World.
The menu for the upcoming restaurant will be brought to life by Executive Chef Theo Schoenegger and it will include internationally-inspired cuisine and more than 1,000 bottles of the world’s finest wines, plus a wide selection of craft beer.
