A couple of weeks ago, Walt Disney World opened up a brand new food truck at Disney Springs. This food truck offered up edible cookie dough and when I heard about this, I knew I had to try it. So, I made a beeline to the truck (with what seemed like every other person in Disney Springs that night) and decided to try a number of different options.
The truck itself is called Cookie Dough and Everything Sweet and they serve every version imaginable. What’s cute about the way they serve them is that it looks like you’re eating ice cream, but you’re really eating cookie dough.
I first tried the Springs Candy Taco. This is Candy Monster Cookie Dough, served with chocolate sauce, whipped cream, sprinkles, and a cherry all served in a waffle taco. Let me tell you….this was huge! I could have easily split this. There had to be 3-4 large scoops of the dough inside the waffle cone taco shell. This was definitely worth me getting.
I also tried the Minnie Mouse Taco, which is served with Peanut Butter Fluff Cookie Dough, caramel sauce, whipped cream, a cherry, and a chocolate Minnie bow served in a waffle taco. Again, this was quite delicious. Also this treat was huge and easily splitable. The peanut butter flavor was very peanut buttery and also very smooth.
Next, I tried the Celebration Parfait, which was Celebration Cookie Dough with Celebration Mickey cake, vanilla custard, strawberries, whipped cream, and a cherry. This is a full on sundae with cookie dough mixed in. It was definitely different than a normal cookie dough sundae with little balls of dough….this had mounds of thee sweet treat mixed in.
Finally, we decided we wanted to try the original version – just plain chocolate chip. Look how cute it is with the Oreo ears. This flavor was probably my favorite, just because it’s what you think of when you think of eating cookie dough.
I think this food truck is a great stop and certainly much needed. I’m always looking for something sweet when visiting Disney Springs and really, up until this point, all there was to choose from was ice cream. Now, with another option, I will definitely be making my way over here more often!
