Recently, I did something selfless. I took one for the team. It’s hard work, but someone had to try the treats found at Disney’s Hollywood Studios for the holiday season. And there are a ton of great snack options to pick up! Matter of fact, this is only a tip of the iceberg as new things seemingly keep getting added!
So, let’s dive into the deliciousness!
Holiday Whoopie Pie
Hands down….far and away….this is my favorite snack that is available. Matter of fact, if Disney wanted to offer this year round, I wouldn’t complain. It is a red velvet whoopie pie filled with a classic cream cheese filling. It is huge! It’s honestly a small cake! And it’s so yummy and a very sharable dessert! Guests an pick this up at The Trolley Car Café and Backlot Express. (And remember, for a lot of these treats, you can find them on Mobile Order!)
Frozen Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate
Ok….gotta admit, it didn’t get the salted caramel part of this. This was a frozen salted caramel hot chocolate that was topped with marshmallows, green sugar, and a chocolate drizzle served with a souvenir Mickey Glow. This was a really sweet beverage! Definitely perfect for the warmer days at the park. The Mickey Glow, while cute was certainly not necessary. It can be picked up at PizzeRizzo, Backlot Express, ABC Commissary, and Rosie’s All–American Café.
Mickey’s Holiday Cookie
Whoops! Sometimes something is good and gets tried BEFORE photos are taken! This cookie is a vanilla butter cookie and it’s covered with white chocolate and sugar snowflakes! It’s another great sharable treat! Basic, but good!
Olaf’s Snow Flurry
Another basic but good option is Olaf’s Snow Flurry, which is a yellow cupcake with vanilla buttercream, snow flurry sugar, and Olaf Glow. If you’re in the mood for a cupcake, it’s a good choice, but I think there are other options that are better for the holiday season. (Plus, again, the Olaf glow is a little unnecessary, but it makes the cupcake cute for the Gram!)
Jingle Bell Sipper
Ok…how cute is this drink sipper that looks like a Mickey jingle bell?! It even jingles!!! What’s nice about this is that Disney doesn’t pour the drink in the sipper. Instead, they just give you a drink on the side. This is way more decoration than anything else and that’s totally what I use it for at home!
