Boma, at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, is one of the best restaurants on property! After hearing so many people rave about the breakfast, I finally decided to do it. Here is my review on the breakfast at Boma!
Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of the most beautiful resorts on property. It is worth the trip just to visit! The architecture, bright colors & cast members make you feel like you have been whisked away to Africa. The Cast Members sometimes even play traditional instruments to help set the mood. The lobby is full of unique details, including sculptures made throughout Africa.
Out in the Savannah, you can view all kinds of animals, from flamingos to giraffes! Make sure you add this resort to your bucket list.
To give you an excuse to head over to the Animal Kingdom Lodge, why not book a dining reservation at Boma?
The buffet is full of American & African classics-which is why I love this buffet so much-it is just so unique! I don’t have the most adventurous palette, but I was able to find lots of things I like, while also exploring some African favorites.
You can start out with a variety of salads, which include fruit, tuna & quinoa. You can also choose from a selection of cheeses & yogurt parfaits. For your entree, there are all the classics; hand carved ham & turkey, character waffles, pancakes, breakfast meats, oatmeal & potatoes. You can also choose from some unique & African dishes, such as french toast bread pudding, sweet plantains, corned beef hash, and asparagus & tomatoes! My favorite part of the entree choices was the egg options. I am an egg fanatic.
They have a variety of egg dishes & I may or may not have indulged in every one. They had American options, as well as African flair egg dishes. Lastly, they had an omelet station where you just had to select what you wanted in the omelet.
To finish (or start) there is also a bread, pastry & cereal section. I finished up my meal with a delicious apple pastry. Again, there were African inspired pastries & the traditional American choices.
This doesn’t even begin to cover every single option the buffet had! I am not kidding – it was HUGE! The options are endless at Boma. And, every single thing I had was delicious.
Unlike most buffets, I left feeling comfortably full at this one, and still managed to get a taste of most dishes.
The wait staff was also outstanding. They went above and beyond, in true Disney fashion. It was nice to be served by a friendly face, who, similar to the Epcot pavilions, was from various parts of Africa.
The atmosphere was so cozy & it was the perfect start to my Animal Kingdom day! Add this one to your dining bucket list for sure.
