There are a couple of interesting changes happening at Walt Disney World right now due to a few refurbishments that are taking place at some of the resort hotels.
To start with, at Disney’s Yacht Club, a new shop has appeared called, The Market at Ale & Compass has officially opens to Guests. This is a converted space that currently offers Guests food and beverage items. This space’s goal is to provide Guests with an easy on-the-go experience.
At The Market at Ale & Compass, which is considered to be a quick-service dining location, Guests will find handmade salads, sandwiches, healthy snacks, breakfast pastries, expanded coffee offerings and more.
Coolers are stocked with beverages, sandwiches, snacks, and more.
There are also pastries and sweet treats, as well as chips and even healthy items, like fruit.
As far as beverages go, there are Coke Freestyle machines, as well as coffee and hot chocolate options. Oh and don’t forget the wine.
There is also a microwave and toaster on hand.
The Market at Ale & Compass does offer seating for Guests looking to dine here.
The Market at Ale & Compass will operate from 6:00 a.m.-11:30 p.m. daily.
In addition, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is also seeing a major enhancement right now. With many areas blocked off due to construction, including Old Port Royale Food Court, Shutters at Old Port Royale, Cabana Pool Bar and Calypso Trading Post. Because of all of these closures, temporary locations have popped up for Guests.
One such location is called Centertown. Here, Guests can choose to grab a quick bite, enjoy a full meal, or shop.
Guests will enter a temporary structure where they can dine.
Guests can grab a quick meal that includes:
- Bacon Angus Cheeseburger – $12.99

Kids meals include:

These items are available from 11:30 a.m. until 10:00 p.m.
There is also a dinner buffet costs $20.99 for Adults ages 10 and up or $8.99 for kids ages 3-9. This all-you-care-to-enjoy dinner buffet includes soups, salads, baked breads, pasta with a selection of sauces, seasonal vegetables, a carving station, caribbean seafood selections, children’s classics, island-inspired sides, fresh fruits, and an assortment of desserts. The buffet is open from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.
Guests can also choose to grab a meal at one of the various food trucks that will be found at the resort.
Of course, if you are looking to shop, the resort has you covered too with special shopping trucks!
As you can see, there is clearly a lot of work going on at many of the Walt Disney World resorts, but Disney is doing their best to help Guests continue to have a magical vacation.
