Everyone loves Mickey Mouse shaped food, right? Whether it’s a cookie, an ice cream bar, a pretzel, but what about a marshmallow wand?
I’ll admit, I have been a bit hesitant to try the marshmallow wands. They never looked like a substantial treat and I just wasn’t sure they were worth the money. But on my last trip, I wanted a small snack, not something too heavy and the marshmallow wand seemed like the perfect option.
So, while I was visiting Disney’s Contemporary Resort, I stopped into their Bayview Gifts shop that can be found on the fourth floor. This shop sells a lot of great Disney merchandise, but did you know that they also have a small confectionary counter?
They not only have marshmallow wands, but they also have cookies, caramel apples, rice krispy treats, fudge, and cupcakes.
I chose the marshmallow wand that had chocolate cookie crumbles (Oreos, to you and me). One bite and I was sold on its deliciousness.
The marshmallow itself was not too light, but not too dense. It was actually perfect. And the chocolate cookie crumbles were the perfect pairing to give it a big of a crunch and some chocolatey flavor. And since I wasn’t looking for a really heavy snack, it ended up being perfect.
I do think they are a bit pricy for their size. About $5 is just a little bit too much, as I think there are other snacks that are much bigger, more substantial and cost maybe a dollar more. But if you are looking for a snack that’s not too much for one person, I think this is a great choice.
