Walt Disney World is a great location for many to vacation. Whether you are going as a family, solo, adult only trips and more as there is so much to do! Even if our travels include our kids or extended family, a date night is absolutely necessary! One of the great parts about vacationing in Walt Disney World, there are so many things you can do for a date night!
Date Night at Disney’s Grand Floridian
During our last trip, we had the opportunity to stay in a Lake View Studio at Disney’s Bay Lake Tower. Being on the monorail is a bonus, as we love having quick access to other resorts and restaurants. Dining is usually one of our favorites for a date night, but also enjoying the scenery. For this trip, we decided on spending time at the Grand Floridian and dining at Narcoossee’s. We have not had the opportunity to stay at this resort yet, so we love taking the time to explore!
Dining at Narcoossee’s for Dinner
First, let’s talk Narcoossee’s as it was amazing! My husband is a steak guy, and I’m one for seafood… and this was a great choice. The environment in this restaurant is very relaxing, and we had a beautiful view of the water. The details that Disney puts into their restaurants completely amazes me sometimes. We decided to start off with the Crispy Rhode Island Calamari. Getting dishes that are from home scares us sometimes, but this was cooked perfectly! I absolutely love how they did not rush us at dinner.
If you are a seafood lover, I absolutely recommend the Twin Cold Lobster Tails! Cooked to absolute perfection, beyond delicious! With my husband being a steak lover, he definitely enjoyed his meal!
The Disney Dining Plan is something we choose to do for all of our trips, we took advantage of using 2 table service credits and would do it again! The calamari was extra, which we would absolutely get again! Oh, and did I mention the delicious desserts? The cheesecake and the chocolate… yummy!
A Stroll through the Grounds
Later on after dining, we took the time to stroll the grounds of the Grand Floridian. If you have not done so, I highly recommend it. Especially after a filling meal, it was great to take the time and enjoy the scenery!
Happily Ever After to end the evening!
Lastly, we choose to finish our date night by hopping on the monorail and heading over to the Magic Kingdom to enjoy the fireworks show! Fortunately, we were able to get there just in time! So remember, next time you are at Disney there are always ways to put time aside to enjoy a date night!
