Are you ready for the scary mayhem? This year marks the 25th anniversary for Halloween Horror Nights and because of that, this year they pulling out all the stops.
This year’s Halloween Horror Nights will take place on select nights from September 18th through November 1st and keep in mind that it is a separately ticketed event. This year’s scarefest will include 9 houses, 5 scare zones, and 2 live shows set up to terrify park guests.
Universal just released the information about what you can expect to see during this year’s festivities. Here is the full list of houses that Guests will be running to. (Or maybe that should be from.)
Houses
An American Werewolf in London
One of the fan-favorites from years past is making a triumphant return—the retelling of the classic horror film, An American Werewolf in London.
Jack Presents: 25 Years of Monsters and Mayhem
Jack is back and invites you to join him for the ultimate in horror. In this house, Universal classic Halloween Horror Night characters will attack and will stalk you around every corner. This will be the place to relieve your favorite scary memories of the past 25 years of Halloween Horror Nights.
RUN: Blood, Sweat and Fears
How creepy! You’ve been selected to be one of the contestants on the most popular and brutal TV game show called RUN. In this house, Guests will find themselves in the Hellgate Prision where you’ll have to try and avoid the skilled assassins known as Reapers and survive as the audience watches from home. (This feels like a very twisted Hunger Games.)
Asylum in Wonderland 3D
In Asylum in Wonderland, you’ll follow the white rabbit through the looking glass and into a murderous 3-D Wonderland with a nightmarish twist.
Body Collectors: Recollections
The Body Collectors are on the hunt for human parts and descended upon the unknowing inhabitants of Shadybrook Asylum.
The Purge
The Purge experience will see Guests thrown into the world of the popular movie, where they will be hunted by dozens of masked vigilantes who will stop at nothing to purge.
The Walking Dead
The Walking Dead house returns showcasing aspects from the fifth season of the hit TV series.
Insidious
In this maze, aspects of all three films make their way into this house. Guests will come face to face with the evil of the Further—the Long Haired Fiend, the Lipstick-Face Demon, the Bride in Black, and The Man Who Can’t Breathe.
Freddy vs. Jason
This house will drop you right into the middle of the epic battle between horror legends, Freddy Kruger and Jason.
Scare Zones
Psychoscareapy: Unleashed — The criminally insane inmates of Shadybrooke Asylum have escaped and can be found in the streets of New York.
ICONS: HHN — Take a look back in history and come face-to-face with the icons from Halloween Horror Nights past. Iconic characters from the event’s 25 year history such as The Caretaker, The Storyteller, The Director, The Rat Lady, and more will be found roaming the streets of Hollywood.
Scary Tales: ScreamPunk — The Scary Tales characters will be brought to life with a new twist in a steampunk-inspired version.
Evil’s Roots — You’ll find the event’s traditional jack-o-lanterns in the air as you encounter evil fairies, humanoid bats, scarecrows and more in the Central Park section.
All Nite Die-In: Double Feature — At The Carey DrIvE IN movie theatre found on the streets of San Francisco, you’ll come across this theatre that has been re-named as “DIE IN”, due to the gruesome murders that occurred here.
Shows
The Carnage Returns — Jack the Clown is taking Halloween Horror Nights back in a blaze of murderous mayhem with his army and his companion, Chance.
Bill and Ted’s Excellent Halloween Adventure — The duo is back in an all-new Halloween and hilarious adventure. For many, this is a not to miss show.
