One of my favorite Disney World snacks is the spring rolls! There are many options to choose from, especially on the snack cart in Adventureland! They have several rotating spring roll options, one of which is my favorite – the pepperoni pizza spring rolls! I also really enjoy the cheeseburger spring rolls, and you can find that recipe here.
This delicious snack can be re-created & enjoyed in the comfort of you own home! You just need a few simple ingredients. It’s fun, easy & a great activity for the family.
What You’ll Need
- Diced Pepperoni – however much you’d like
- Canola Oil
- Spring Roll or Won Ton Sheets
- Shredded Mozzarella or Mozzarella Slices
- Marinara Sauce
- 2 tbsp Flour
- Water
Yields: 12 Spring Rolls
Step One
First, let’s get the ingredients you’ll need. I chopped up pepperoni into small pieces. I used won ton shells, as my supermarket did not have spring rolls. For this reason, I had to chop the pepperoni fairly small.
The amount of pepperoni is personal preference! Chop up however much you’d like. Get your mozzarella shredded, or dig out the mozza slices. I ran out of mozzarella, so I also used marble, which worked just fine in a pinch!
Step Two
Next, prepare your “glue” to keep the rolls together. To do this, mix the flour & a little water until it becomes a glue like consistency.
Step Three
Now it’s time to assemble the spring rolls! Get a deep frying pan & fill it with oil. I actually only put about an inch in the deep pan so that we can fry on each side. It’s a little safer this way! Optionally, you can use a deep fryer. Just remember to remove the basket, as the shell may stick on. Let the oil heat while you prep your rolls.
To assemble, place the shell in a diamond shape. You will be putting the filling right in the corner of this diamond. Place some cheese, then the pepperoni, then another layer of cheese in the corner.
Begin rolling the shell. Tuck the cheese as you go along. This is a little difficult with the won ton sheets, but be cautious all cheese inside.
When you meet the middle of the diamond, using your finger or a brush, put the “glue” on the exposed edges. You don’t need very much, just enough to make it stick.
Fold in the sides to tuck in, and continue rolling. If you are using won ton shells, you will need to roll it in a second shell, because if not, the cheese slice will melt right through. To do this, take a new shell & cover it lightly in glue, and repeat the rolling process.
Step Four
Making sure they don’t stick, dip your spring rolls in the hot oil, turning frequently. You can do just a few at a time if there is not enough space. They only take a couple minutes on each side. Fry until golden brown. If you’ve used won ton shells, and therefore double the shells, they may take an extra few minutes.
Step Five
Serve them on a paper towelled plate paired with your marinara or pizza sauce. It makes a delicious dipping sauce for your pizza roll!
YUM! A delicious Disney treat to bring you back to your “home”. While they aren’t identical to the original ones, they are pretty delicious.

I bought spring roll wrappers instead of my usual egg roll, by mistake. They are much thinner so I was just googling to see the process for making pizza rolls and if it was any different. I came across this doc and it’s perfect. And what a cool surprise to read your bio at the end and see that you are living in Newfoundland! I am a Cape Bretoner living in Saskatchewan. I’ve been to Disney twice, once when I was 10, then my folks and I took my daughter when she was 10. Great memories. I am going to give these spring rolls a go now, and the cheeseburger spring rolls recipe you have on here as well. Thanks so much. – Kim
