Recently, I made my first ever visit to Disneyland Paris and while visiting this month, I was able to take in the Marvel Season of Super Heroes. This special event, which showcases your favorite Marvel characters via shows, character meet and greets, and of course, food! There are a number of treats that Guests can pick up to celebrate your love of your favorite super heroes.
The whole area is decked out. There are giant, larger than life statues, as well as banners throughout to set the mood.
There are a few shows that you won’t want to miss. I got to catch the Stark Expo Presents: Energy for Tomorrow! Here, Guests will be able to see The Avengers, including Thor and Black Widow fight in a colossal battle with Loki. Then, in a finale moment, Captain Marvel drops in to save the day.
We also caught the Guardians of the Galaxy Awesome Dance-Off. Here you’ll watch as Star-Lord attempts to get Guests to join him on the dance floor, dancing to classic 70s and 80s anthems blasting out of Peter Quill’s cherished boom box. Groot will be sharing his own dance moves and Gamora will be watching on with disapproval.
Guests also have the opportunity to meet some of their favorite characters. Lines were long for both Captain Marvel and Spider-Man.
Now, let’s get to the themed treats.
The first thing I got was pretty standard. I mean…really standard. It is a chocolate bar that is designed to look the the Awesome Mix Tape from Guardians of the Galaxy. The chocolate bar is solid and is exactly what you would expect. It’s good and perfect for those who have a sweet tooth.
We also got a vanilla macron, which was emblazoned with Groot’s face on it. This was excellent. The macron was decent sized, we split it, but I also could have easily eaten it by myself. It had a nice light, vanilla flavor and had nice crunchy, yet soft shell and creamy interior. Highly recommend.
The Marvel Season of Super Heroes is taking place at the Walt Disney Studios Park through June 16, so there is still time to experience the fun.
