Every year the Disneyland’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa has a large Halloween display in the middle of the lobby. There is a different theme each year. This year Oogie Boogie is quite the spooky masterpiece!

Executive Pastry Chef Jorge Sotelo walked around inspecting the creation on the morning I visited. He was happy to answer any questions and was lavished praises upon his team that created Oogie Boogie.
Mr. Sotelo informed me that they started by using rice crispy treats as the mold for the tasty sculpture. Then they place fondant on top.
He pointed out several hidden Mickeys around the sculpture and made sure I knew there were 13 to find. Some Hidden Mickeys can only be found if you view the creation from above.

There are so many details through out the creation. From leaves to bugs to other Nightmare Before Christmas characters hidden in the cauldron. I spent a good 20 minutes walking around the sculpture and still notice new things when I look at the pictures.
