Do you have a son who feels left out because you have a daughter who gets pampered at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique but he doesn’t want to be dressed up as a prince? Or perhaps you are a family with all boys and no girls? Or… your daughter doesn’t feel like dressing up as a princess! There is a great place for the whole family to participate in a little dress up fun! It’s the Pirate’s League right next to the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.
I brought my family here twice. My son was the first to become a pirate three years ago. The prices for Pirates League is a little less expensive than Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and you have just as much fun, if not more with all the yelling the hags do among themselves. It was really fun!
When you first enter the league, you have a pirate name chosen for you and recorded into the Captain’s Log.
From there you are escorted to the back where you meet your hag who will pirate you up.

My son chose to be a pirate. He was given a beard, a scar and a black eye (made from makeup of course). When he was done I could barely recognize him! He looked so different! Then you have to participate in a pirate ritual to swear into the Pirate’s League. Finally, you are fitted with a pirate’s sword and escorted into the secret room to pick out a piece of booty from the hidden treasure.
We really enjoyed this experience. So much so that the following year my son and daughter both did it. Who knows maybe if we head back to Disney in the Fall during the Halloween season all four of us will get our Pirate on during the day to wear for the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party!
