Every holiday is magical at Walt Disney World and Valentine’s Day is no exception. If you are looking for the perfect date night restaurant, your options at Walt Disney World are almost endless. From the ultimate splurge at Victoria and Albert’s to more casual dining experiences at Disney Springs, you will find so many great choices at Walt Disney World. I know that choosing how to spend your day can be overwhelming, so here are a few of my personal favorite places to find a memorable dining experience.
Most Romantic
The California Grill is my number one pick for a romantic Valentine’s Day date. Whether you visit for brunch, dinner, or even just drinks and appetizers at the lounge, you are sure to enjoy a delicious meal with stunning views. If you are fortunate to time your visit right, you just might catch a view of the Happily Ever After fireworks at the Magic Kingdom.
Although Valentine’s Day doesn’t fall on a Sunday this year, you can celebrate love any day of the week, right? I recently visited for Sunday brunch and it was spectacular. Our experience was elegant and the food was delicious. Even during the day, the view of the Disney Resort can’t be beat. If you are looking to impress your date, you really can’t go wrong with a meal at the California Grill!
Most Unique
If you are looking for a one-of-a-kind dining experience, head on over to the Animal Kingdom Lodge and check out Sanaa. Here, you can dine on African-inspired cuisine while watching the animals graze the savanna outside the window. My recommendation is to make the earliest reservation available, request a table by the window, and cross your fingers! While they can’t guarantee a window seat, getting their early will maximize your chances.
The food here is truly fantastic, but if you order nothing else, get the bread service. It’s amazing! This is definitely a dish you can share, so it would be perfect for a double date.
Best Place for a Group
If you are looking for more of a party atmosphere, Disney Springs is the place to be. Check out The Edison for an exotic drink menu and unique appetizers. Where else can you find bacon on a clothesline? The theming and entertainment of this restaurant give it a very unique vibe. This would be a great location for celebrating Valentine’s Day with a group of friends.
The Whole Package
Looking for dinner, romance, and a fireworks show? The World Showcase at Epcot is the perfect place for you to spend Valentine’s Day! Here, “The World” is your oyster! You can start your evening with a romantic meal at one of the 11 countries found in the World Showcase, followed by a stroll around the lagoon. Stop for a drink or two and pick up dessert from the French bakery or visit Morocco for coffee. End the night with a viewing of Illuminations: Reflections of Earth. Since this show will soon be replaced, take advantage of the chance to enjoy the show one last time with your sweetheart.
Unique views of the show can be found at Spice Road Table or you could try the new Illuminations dining package at the Rose and Crown to ensure that you have a spot to view the show. No matter where you choose to watch from, most of the action is in the sky, so you can find a good view from virtually everywhere!
I hope some of these suggestions will help inspire you as you plan the perfect Valentine’s Day date. There is nowhere better to spend a day dedicated to love than the Most Magical Place on Earth!
