- Ticket prices at Walt Disney World Resort have increased. Changes this year include that any new ticket that is purchased will have an expiration date that that ticket must be used by. Previously-purchased tickets without expiration dates will remain valid until used. The Water Park Fun & More and Park Hopper option is now called Park Hopper Plus. Finally, Guests who purchase their tickets in advance through Disney will receive a $20 discount on 3-Day to 10-Day Magic Your Way Tickets. At the Magic Kingdom, beginning May 12 a new fireworks spectacular called “Happily Ever After,” will debut. This new show will feature the latest in fireworks, pyrotechnics and lasers, a brand new, original score and state-of-the-art projection mapping technology. It will showcase some of the greatest adventures Disney characters have taken and will include stories of friendship, perseverance and overcoming obstacles. It will last 18 minutes and include Disney characters from Moana, Brave, Big Hero 6, Zootopia, The Princess & The Frog, Aladdin, Hunchback of Notre Dame, Toy Story, Sleeping Beauty and more. To make way for “Happily Ever After,” Wishes Nighttime Spectacular will have its final performance May 11.

Star Wars Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be opening in 2019. As a reminder, this new land will transport Guests to a never-before-seen trading port planet where Star Wars characters and their stories come to life.

Rivers of Light will officially debut at Disney’s Animal Kingdom on February 17. The show is currently scheduled for select nights, and Guests are now able to reserve FastPass+ and Rivers of Light dining packages.
- Pandora – The World of Avatar will open May 27. The magical new land will transport Guests to a mystical world of bioluminescent rainforests, floating mountains and soaring Banshees. For more information about Pandora, make sure to check out our Guide to Pandora.
- Later this month, Guests will be able to meet Disney Junior star Doc McStuffins at Rafiki’s Planet Watch.
- The Jostens Center at ESPN Wide World of Sports has been renamed as the J Center.
