- Three new kiosks have opened up at Downtown Disney. On the WestSide, guests can enjoy brand new versions of the Wetzel’s Pretzels and the Häagen-Dazs kiosks. The original versions closed previously to make way for a brand new Starbucks. Speaking about Starbucks, a brand new kiosk has opened right near the World of Disney on the Marketplace side. This Starbucks kiosk includes no indoor sections.
- Mickey’s Philharmagic will have a refurbishment in September. The 3D attraction will be closed from September 8 – 19, reopening on September 20.
- A brand new Piston Cup Junior Ride-Along will begin at the Richard Petty Driving Experience. Here kids, ages 6-13 who are at least 48 inches tall will be able to ride along with a professional driving instructor for three thrilling laps, in official Piston Cup cars. They will include famous Piston Cup racers Aiken Axler, the #28 car, and Sage VanDerSpin, the #80 car, straight from the Pixar movie, Cars. The cost of this experience will be $59 and the will take place on a first-come, first-served basis. Keep in mind that reservations are not accepted.
