- Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be extending operating hours on the following dates: June 18, 20, 21, 23, 25, 27, 28, 30 and July 2, 2016. Park close has changed from 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and fireworks have been added at 9:45 p.m.
- Guests can now enjoy the third track which has opened at Toy Story Mania. The attraction overall will remain the same; the new track just helps to alleviate long lines.
- The designated smoking area is now located next to the water across from Frozen Concoction.
- “it’s a small world” at the Magic Kingdom will be closed for refurbishment from August 22 through to September 15.
- On Saturday, June 11 Guests can celebrate “Speak Like a Whale Day” inspired by Finding Dory. Guests can celebrate in a number of ways:
- Guests at Walt Disney World will receive a complimentary button to celebrate the day on June 11.
- At Disney Springs families can dive into “undersea” themed activities, including a live DJ, games and giveaways. Young guests can attend “Whale Speak University” and give speaking the language a try.
- At The Seas with Nemo & Friends in Epcot, guests can learn about the real-life counterparts of the characters from the film and see them in their massive 5.7-million-gallon saltwater aquarium home. Experts from Disney’s Animals, Science and Environment Team will be on hand throughout the day to help guests find Dory and her friends and get a closer look at their world.
- Dory and some of her new friends from Disney•Pixar’s “Finding Dory” have joined Crush at the Turtle Talk with Crush attraction at Epcot. Guests can meet Destiny the whale shark, Bailey the beluga whale and Hank the “septopus.”
- STK Orlando is now open at Disney Springs. This steakhouse features delicious options and a rooftop patio overlooking Disney Springs.
- Guests are invited to take part in the Gone Mad Party at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. Join in for curious food & beverage offerings during Wishes nighttime spectacular. The Gone Mad Party will be hosted every Wednesday in June, from 8:30–10:30 p.m. on the outdoor patio near Gasparilla Island Grill. There is no charge for Guests to attend.
- Guests staying at Disney’s Pop Century Resort will be able to enjoy special activities on Fridays. Recreation offerings include:
- 2:30 Inflatable Bowling
- 3:00 Retro Pool Party
- 4:00 Totally Rad Dance Party
- 5:00 Decades Trivia
- 6:00 Mickey Tie-Dye (costs money)
- 8:30 “The Jungle Book” (1967)
- Pez Guessing Contest: The Guest with the closest guess will receive a prize! Winner will be announced at the beginning of the movie.
In addition to Recreation offerings around the resort, Guest will be able to visit the Front Desk which will be hosting an all-day Scavenger Hunt. There will also be themed-drinks at the Petals Pool Bar. Guest will also be able to join in on Groovy Bingo happening from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- Over at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Guests will be able to enjoy special themed days every Sunday. Recreation offerings will take place at The Big Blue Pool and will include:
- 2:30 – Finding Nemo Game
- 3:00 – The Big Blue Pool Party
- 4:00 – The EAC Dance Party
- 4:30 – Ocean Craft
- 5:00 – Under the Sea Trivia
- 6:00 – Seaside Tie-Dye (costs money)

- Jelly Bean Guessing Contest: The Guest with the closest guess will receive a prize! Winner will be announced at the beginning of the movie.
In addition to Recreation offerings, around the resort, Guest here will be able to also visit the Front Desk which will be hosting an all-day Scavenger Hunt and will be able to join in on The Mermaid Dance where they can shake their fishtails intermittently throughout the day. Guests can stop by the Drop Off Pool Bar to enjoy a themed seaside drink. Under the Sea Bingo will be hosted at the Landscape of Flavors from 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. while enjoying an oceanic cupcake.
