- Following the horrific alligator attack this past week, please note the following adjustments. No word on if/when any of these will change as time goes on:
- Walt Disney World Watercraft service is now operating as normal.
- Resort beaches are unavailable to Guests. Movie Under the Stars are being shown in their indoor location.
- Guests may rent pontoon boats and Boston Whaler boats at available marinas. However, Sea Raycer rentals are not available. Sammy Duval water sports are also unavailable.
- Guests are not permitted to fish on any resort waterway with their personal equipment at this time.
- Passengers waiting to board the all new Soarin’ Around the World may have the chance to play the new Soarin’ Challenge, a travel-related trivia game where players can test their global knowledge by answering questions shown on the displays in the queue or use their personal mobile devices to compete against hundreds of other players. Guests can work together to answer questions about culture, cuisine, history, landmarks and more. Those playing on their own mobile device can unlock achievements and digital passport stamps to keep track of their progress.
- At the House of the Whispering Willows gallery at the China pavilion, Guests can experience a new gallery called “Inside Shanghai Disney Resort,” which provides a look at Disney’s newest theme park. The gallery showcases exclusive artwork and props, as well as a look at the classic and cutting-edge attractions within Shanghai Disneyland.
- Guests visiting Princess Fairytale Hall will be able to meet Cinderella and Rapunzel separately – each alongside another visiting princess – Princess Tiana and Princess Aurora. Anna and Elsa will no longer have a greeting location at Magic Kingdom and will only meet at Epcot’s Royal Somerhaus.
- Snow White will be meeting Guests at the Town Square Courtyard next to City Hall.
- Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter’s Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory food court will be closed for refurbishment beginning July 11 and lasting until the fall. Alternative food and beverage options can be found:
- An alternative dining experience will be available adjacent to the lobby and Scat Cat’s Lounge. This location will be serving Guest favorites such as jambalaya, gumbo, po-boy sandwiches, other hot and cold entrees and our famous beignets. A selection of grab ‘n’ go meals also will be available for purchase.
- Guests can dine at Riverside Mill Food Court or have dinner at Boatwright’s Dining Hall at the neighboring resort, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside.
- In-room pizza delivery service will continue to be available from 4:00pm.-midnight. The menu includes pizza, hot and cold sandwiches and pasta.
- The Grand Floridian Lawn Party is on Wednesday, June 22, from 7:30–8:30 p.m. in the Courtyard Lawn. The whole family is invited for the fun lawn activities.
