I’ve never heard of the Minnie’s Holiday Dine (at Hollywood & Vine) before & am wondering if it’s something new or is it an annual event? My 24 year old son & I will be there in December & I’d love to know what others think about this event…is it worth the expense…is it too hurried to really enjoy any time with the characters? We’re already going to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, so maybe this isn’t “necessary” ??!
It is new! It starts this year during the holiday season, so there aren’t any reviews on this particular meal yet.
I can tell you the Hollywood and Vine’s menu offerings are ok. They don’t get the best reviews. Hopefully they will be offering some new dishes that are themed to the holiday season, which I think would be delightful.
I’ve also never done a character meal at Hollywood and Vine, but have done character meals before. Make sure you set the tone with the characters. If you want to spend good quality time with them, don’t rush them along yourself. Showcase that you want to take your time by talking to the characters a bit before you take your photo with them (typically after they take photos they move along, I’ve noticed.) Just keep in mind that character meals are what you make of them.
I would consider this even if I was going to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party because, if it were me, I wouldn’t be doing a lot of the meet and greets at the party. My time would be spent really enjoying the fireworks and the parade. However, if you are planning to meet any of these characters at the party, then maybe I would choose to save the money on the character meal and dine somewhere else.
Whatever you decide, I hope you have a lot of fun!
Thanks for the info! I did get reservations for this, but I think we’ll take a “wait and see” approach to whether we decide to keep the reservation OR whether we decide to cancel. I like that they offer a lenient cancellation policy.
