We are all doing a little Disney daydreaming right now, since the parks are closed and we are all participating in social distancing. What better time to think about the place that makes us the happiest in the world? So, of course, I was thinking about food and what quick service restaurants are going to be on my must do list when I have the opportunity to get back to the world of mouse! Here are my top 5 choices.
Regal Eagle Smokehouse
I had planned on visiting this new quick service dining location when I was in the Orlando area this past February, but the timing on hitting the parks just didn’t work out. That’s why this new barbecue restaurant found in the American Adventure pavilion at Epcot is on my list. With their yummy barbecue options and a theme that focuses on The Muppets, Regal Eagle Smokehouse is a definitely stop the next time.
Ronto Roasters
While I’ve tried and been less than impressed with Docking Bay 7 in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, one place that’s been on my list to try is Ronto Roasters. I have heard fantastic things about the Ronto Wrap which is Roasted Pork, Grilled Pork Sausage, Peppercorn Sauce, and Tangy Slaw wrapped in Pita Bread. I also really want to try their Ronto Morning Wrap too which is served with Scrambled Eggs, grilled Pork Sausage, Shredded Cheddar, Peppercorn Sauce, wrapped in Pita. Both sound delightful!
Chicken Guy
Now, this one, I’ve been sleeping on, and I know it. Part of the reason? It’s because every time I walk past this Disney Springs restaurant, there’s a LONG line! Which means it’s probably incredibly good! And from what I hear about this restaurant brought to life by Guy Fieri, it is. Chicken Guy specializes in chicken fingers, sauces, and is incredibly reasonably priced, especially for a restaurant in Walt Disney World.
Casey’s Corner
I’ve definitely visited Casey’s Corner at the Magic Kingdom before, but when you’re sitting on your couch daydreaming about Disney food, you really start to think about what you want and are craving. One thing I’m craving? Corn dog nuggets from Casey’s! With their crispy cornmeal batter and juicy hot dog insides…this is a must grab on my next trip! Add in that view of Cinderella Castle while you eat them, and it’s perfection.
Satu’li Canteen
This quick service restaurant in Pandora – The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is, I think, my favorite quick service location in all of Walt Disney World. And the reason? It’s not those yummy bowls….which are definitely worth grabbing! No…it’s for a little treat that seemingly has gone under the radar, but that I CRAVE. The Cheeseburger pods. The puffy pastry mixed with delicious cheeseburger flavor pairs for a wonderful combo!
Now….here’s a little tip. These used to be on the main Satu’li Canteen menu as an offering, but for some odd reason, Disney took them off. They are still available as an option for a kid’s meal, which yes, you can order as an adult. However, I have asked for the cheeseburger pods before and they’ve asked me if I wanted the adult portion, which is not one but two cheeseburger pods. Your mileage may vary, but I still grab these pods no matter what.
Ok…now it’s your turn. What 5 quick service restaurants do you want to make sure you visit on your next trip? Let us know your thoughts in the comments, or on Facebook or Twitter!
