Walt Disney World News
- Guests planning on visiting the Magic Kingdom in the coming weeks should keep in mind that Tom Sawyer Island is closed for refurbishment through late December.
- A new restaurant called City Works Eatery & Pour House will open on the West Side of Disney Springs next summer. The restaurant and bar will offer plenty of high-definition TVs, including a 165-inch screen. Like the seven existing locations across the country, the Disney Springs space will offer 80 beers on tap including rare, limited supply, special tappings from local breweries, and others from around the world. There will also be a curated selection of popular wines available as well, ready to pair with bar bites, shareables, burgers, and more.
- Opening next year, Disney Springs’ third parking structure will be named the Lemon Garage. Just like the Lime and Orange Garages, the new Lemon Garage is named after Florida-grown citrus and will provide up to 3,000 additional parking spaces for Disney Springs Guests and Cast Members.
- New venues will soon be added to Disney Springs’ eclectic mix of niche boutiques and brand-name anchor locations. Disney Tails at Marketplace Co-Op, this is THE must-visit destination for pet owners who want to bring a bit of Disney flair home to their four-legged friends. While most of the items were designed with dogs in mind, there are a few items that are “purr”fect for cats, too! In addition to leashes, collars, and bandanas, you’ll also find squeaky toys inspired by some of your favorite iconic Disney foods. Also, The Art of Disney Presents Greg McCullough is slated to open on November 3 in the space formerly occupied by Little Miss Matched. This will be an art gallery featuring works by Greg McCullough that will open for a limited-time engagement through January 1, 2019. Greg McCullough will appear every day, except Mondays, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and guests will have a chance to interact with the artist, have artwork signed, and possibly even catch him painting live.
