Pacing Requirements
All athletes entering the 10-Miler, 10K, or the 5K, must maintain a 16-minute per mile pace throughout the race. Anyone not able to maintain the respective paces may be picked up and transported to the finish. You may be picked up at any point along the course and transported for not maintaining pace. It is suggested that you train at a 15-minute per mile pace.
Proof of Time
Proof of time is required for starting group placement if you claim you will finish a marathon in less than 4 hours and 30 minutes (4:30); a half marathon in less than 2 hours and 15 minutes (2:15); or a 10-miler in less than 1 hour and 30 minutes (1:30). Otherwise, proof of time is not required.
Disney does not accept self-timed, training or virtual runs as proof of time. Proof of time must be provided by the participant for each individual race from an officially timed 10K, 12K, 15K, 10-Mile, Half Marathon or Marathon race reflecting results within the last two (2) years.
Past runDisney races may be used as proof of time. Participants will be placed in the last start group if the required proof of time is not submitted. If you submit a proof of time from a race distance other than a Half Marathon, an industry standard calculation will be applied to equate your time.
If proof of time is not provided at least 13 weeks before the first race of the runDisney event, or if the data provided is incomplete or cannot be verified, you will be placed in the last start group. No start group changes will be made after such date.
Waivers
Waivers for the race will be provided online approximately two weeks before the race. You must have your signed waiver and a Photo ID with you to pick up your race packet. A parent or legal guardian must complete and sign the waiver for any participant under 18 years old. No exceptions will be made.

runDisney Springtime Surprise Runners can pick up their packet at the ESPN Wide World of Sports. You must pick up your own participant packet (which includes an event-issued bib number and timing device) during regularly scheduled hours. Parents or legal guardians must download and complete the personalized race waiver for minors and pick up their packet. You must have a valid ID in order to pick up your packet (driver’s license, passport, Military ID, Government issued ID.) If you do not have a valid photo ID we cannot issue you your race bib.
