Location: ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex
The Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend will kick-off with the opening of the Expo at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. This is a one stop for everything happening during race weekend. The Expo will host seminars on training, racing, and nutrition, featuring speakers and panelists from the world of running. While picking up your official race number and packet, check out the newest Official Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend Merchandise, as well as the latest in apparel and fitness equipment.
Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend transportation will depart from the Event Host Resorts to the Expo at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex approximately every 30 minutes and will begin one half hour prior to opening, continuing until one half hour after closing.
Virtual Queue
Guests will be able to purchase merchandise on the first day of the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo through a virtual queues. You will be able to spend more time enjoying the Expo experience and visiting with Expo vendors, all while waiting in line for merchandise, virtually. Guests can join the virtual queue from the comfort of their hotel room or home, within approximately 45 miles away from Walt Disney World property. Each Guest enrolled will receive a QR code to present for entry. Guests should arrive onsite when they have approximately 60 minutes remaining on their estimated wait time. The virtual queue is required for the runDisney Merchandise Shop only for the first day of the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo.
Disney Wine and Dine 5K

This is a fun-filled 5K that the whole family can enjoy. There’s something for everyone at the Wine and Dine 5K, where adults, teens and tweens can be a part of this official Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend event. Disney entertainment takes place on-course. Experience a 5K course that winds through the park with an unforgettable finish! Beginners, intermediates, and even experienced runners are all invited to join the fun.

How much fun can you pack into one day? Plenty when you set your course for the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon. Your day begins with an early morning 13.1 mile run through the beautiful Walt Disney World Resort. Run with Disney Entertainment on-course! Your half marathon will take you through the Disney theme parks with Disney entertainment on hand to delight and entertain you on your run. In the evening, top your night off at an exclusive Post Race Party with your friends and family at the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival for participants. There, you’ll enjoy entry to more the Global Marketplaces at the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, access to favorite EPCOT attractions, Character Meet & Greets, musical performances, entertainment, and a live DJ!
Disney Two Course Challenge
Saturday, November 2 – Sunday November 3, 2024
2 Races/2 Days/19.3 Miles/3 Medals
Location: Walt Disney World
If you think that a half marathon is just a cake walk, put your endurance to the test and compete in the Disney Two Course Challenge. A 19.3-mile adventure held over two days, participants will run the Disney Wine & Dine 10K on Saturday, followed by the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon on Sunday. Those who finish both the Half Marathon and the 10K will receive those finisher medals, plus a third medal for the Disney Two Course Challenge.
You must register for the Disney Two Course Challenge to receive the Disney Two Course Challenge medal upon completion of both races within the pacing requirements.
Post Race Party
Sunday, November 3, 2024 from 10:00 p.m. until 1:00 a.m. (Early entry begins at 5:00 p.m.)
After-hours EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival
Location: EPCOT
In addition to the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival’s global marketplace kiosks, the after-hours Post Race Party will feature select attractions along World Showcase and inside Future World like Soarin and more. Live entertainment, musical performances, a live DJ and character meet & greets will take place throughout the evening. Runners participating in the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon will receive entry into the Post Race Party with their registration. Friends and family can purchase tickets to the party.

Eligibility
Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon – participants must be 14 years of age or older.
Disney Wine & Dine 10K – participants must be 10 years of age or older.
Wine and Dine 5K – participants must be at least 5 years of age on race day. Each participant must be able to complete the 5K on their own.
Cancellation & Deferrals Policy
Entry for Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend events are non-refundable.
Pacing Requirements
All athletes entering the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon, Disney Wine & Dine 10K or Disney Wine and Dine 5K must maintain a 16-minute per mile pace throughout the race. Anyone not able to maintain the respective paces may be picked up and transported to the finish. Those who do not maintain pace may be picked up at any point along the course. It is suggested that you train at a 15-minute per mile pace.
Proof of Time
If you believe you will finish the Half Marathon in 2 hours and 15 minutes (2:15) or less, proof of time is required for starting group placement. If you believe you will finish the half marathon in over 2 hours and 15 minutes, proof of time is not required.
Safety
For everyone’s safety, baby joggers, strollers, baby carriers, baby backpacks, inline skates, motorized scooters, bicycles, skateboards, canes, crutches, walkers, walking sticks and animals of any kind are prohibited from the course. Violators will be removed from the course and transported to the finish line area. Also, event operations will shut down when lightning is 10 miles out from the event areas and not resume until the lightning is 10 miles out moving away from the event areas.
Costumes
During the Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend, Guests may dress as their favorite character during the races, but must follow these guidelines:
- Costumes must be family-friendly and may not be obstructive, offensive, objectionable or violent.
- Participants 14 and older may not wear costume masks of any kind.
- Participants 13 and younger may wear costume masks, however, the participant’s eyes must be visible, and the mask may not cover the participant’s entire face.
- Participants who dress like characters may not pose for pictures or sign autographs for other Guests except as expressly requested and authorized by runDisney.
- Costumes may not drag on the ground.
- Costumes may not contain sharp objects, pointed objects or materials that may accidentally strike another participant.
- Costumes may not contain any weapons which resemble or could easily be mistaken for an actual weapon.
- Layered costumes that could conceal prohibited items are not permitted.
- Costume props including, without limitation, those that surround the entire body, are inflatable or physically connect multiple participants to each other are not permitted.
- Tutus, transparent wings and hats/headwear are permitted; however, they may not cover the participant’s face.
- Capes may be worn if the length does not go below the waist.
- Themed T-shirts, blouses, sweatshirts and hats are acceptable.
Guests who do not adhere to these guidelines may be refused entry into, and/or removed from, a race or any race related event/activity unless his or her costume can be modified to meet the above standards.
Please note that while costumed attire may be worn during runDisney events, Guests 14 and older are not permitted to wear costumed attire in the theme parks. As a result, Guests may need to change their attire prior to visiting the parks after participating in a runDisney race.
Runner Tracking
Family and friends will be able to track Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend participants with live online runner tracking for the 10K and half marathon. Participants will have the opportunity to send split times via email and text messaging by registering for this service on the event website. You can also sign up for runner tracking at the Expo.
Awards
Overall Half Marathon male (top 3), female (top 3), wheelchair (top male and female) , and military (top 3) winners will receive their awards by mail.

For those staying at Disney resorts during the Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend, most will have a quick service dining location open with special modified hours, as well as special marathon dining offerings, including Pasta Specials and Runner’s Breakfast Boxes.
Directions and Traffic Updates
Directions to ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex (Expo)
Major roads, including Osceola Parkway, Victory Way, World Drive and Buena Vista Drive will be closed or operating under traffic restrictions. Drivers should closely follow roadway signs and allow for extra travel time.
Directions: Take 1-4 to exit 65 (Osceola Parkway West). Take a left onto Victory Way and park in the main lot. Proceed on foot to the main entrance.
Guests should expect increased traffic and delays on Walt Disney World’s roadways during Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend.
