Port Orleans French Quarter is an intimate resort. With just over a thousand rooms, it’s the smallest of Disney’s moderate resorts. That’s one of the qualities that bring its fans back, vacation after vacation. Disney’s Port Orleans French Quarter Resort is themed to the “Big Easy” and its jazz and Mardi Gras influences. This moderately-priced Disney resort is near the Disney Springs area, close by the Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot.

Disney’s bus service is available to and from this resort to theme parks, water parks, plus Disney Springs. There is one bus stop, located near Port Orleans Square, the resort’s central facilities. Most importantly, there is boat transportation to Disney Springs. The boat launch is located on the Sassagoula river, adjacent to the feature pool.

There are no on-site childcare options available for this resort. However, Kid’s Nite Out, an in-room childcare service, is available at all resorts for children 6 months to 12 years old. Services are available 24/7.

Transportation by Boat: There is a boat service that can take you to Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside and to Disney Springs.
The beignets at Port Orleans French Quarter are a delicious, unique treat!
Carriage Rides: 30-minute horse-drawn carriage rides up and down the Sassagoula River depart from nearby Boatwright’s Dining Hall at Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside. Each of these carriages can hold 4 adults or 2 adults and 3 small children.
Port Orleans French Quarter food court has a huge cookie ice cream sandwich with two big cookies and three scoops of ice cream. It is big enough for a few to share.

There is a walkway between the two Port Orleans resorts (Riverside and French Quarter).
You can pool hop between the two resorts’ main pools.
